Y'know, I've had this sitting on my comp, 80% complete, for about, oh, a month I guess it's been now. Whut. I can't say I totally love it, but. It is what it is. KARL URBAN YOUR FACE ARGH.


Done for [info]sangueuk who wrote a pretty kick-assedly entertaining Kirk/McCoy-as-Fightclubbin' bitches. I encourage y'all to check it out. I wanted to draw them wrasstling (like wrestling but more Southern) but this is what became of my noble aspirations. A... cop out? ENJOY.

Man, you just have a knack for getting the likeness of the characters just perfect. This is really wonderful.

And it looks like McCoy wants to do bad things with Kirk's lips. JUST SAYIN'. :D

OH GOOD. I tried for the under-the-streetlight scene, but- I guess this is postfight. ;P

And I kept it PG too! They ain't touchin', they're just lookin'. HAH.

Hopefully it feels true to the spirit of your story. Uh, a little bit. And you never know, maybe (now that I've been and drunk from the dark waters) I'll find myself again venturing across the fence. THE MCKIRK FENCE. ;D

I'm kind of shite at the icon thing, but if you find someone willing to go there, feel free! I'm just pleased it passed the muster: you McCoy fans are hardcore! :D

The lighting and their body language and their faces (I like how Bones looks like he might be in the middle of some crazed rant and just noticed Jim's proximity or at least Jim's mouth's proximity). Oh yeah and THANKS! I am pretty adamantly a K/S girl, they are my guys (I just don't 'get' Kirk/McCoy, sure thay look good, but- ) but THIS WAS FOR SCIENCE. That was how it was explained to me. ;P

Hee, the replicator stuff. Is it tactile 3D? I think I'd end up just stuffing him into different clothing combos and admiring my handiwork. Cuz' I'm weird. :D

Holy. Shit. I just. I just. Oh my God. There are no words. This is fucking incredible. It's just beautiful. Everything about it is right. The body language, the facial expressions, the lighting and texture and everything. Bones is perfect and the way he's drawing back but doesn't quite want to be and that intense look on Jim's face - amazing. I can't stop staring at this. I feel completely unequal to the task of telling you how much I love this picture. Just... the expressions! The perfect likenesses! The colors, the composition, the poses, the off-center focal point and on and on and on and omg don't even get me started on what they're saying with their eyes. It seems from the comments that you're not a K/Mc shipper but DAMN, you sure know how to fake it. This may be the most glorious piece of fanart I've ever seen.

I adore the lightsourcing on this! Your colour theory is so wonderful and delicious, as well, and that's something a lot of artists tend to neglect, so oh, this makes me gleeful.

I actually see quite a bit of DeForrest Kelley in your Karl Urbab, but it's totally a positive point! It makes your McCoy almost like... the true essence of the character. Does that make sense? No? No? All right.
